Fallen trees in Pinangsia, West Jakarta cleared, roads begin to be passable

Jakarta – A kapok tree fell on Jalan Kunir, Pinangsia, West Jakarta this afternoon. The road that was originally blocked by trees is now gradually passable. Based on detikcom monitoring at the location, on Friday (12/12/2025) around 19:00 WIB, a number of officers were seen sawing down fallen trees. The tree was cut into small pieces and placed by the side of the road. Officers also deployed heavy equipment to remove tree fragments. Twigs and leaves strewn on the road were also seen being cleared. There is a truck ready to transport the cut stems and branches. PAGE TO CONTINUE CONTENT Meanwhile, the road access from Kali Besar to Jakarta Kota Station, which was previously blocked by trees, is now becoming passable. However, access has not been fully restored as there are still tree branches on some parts of the road. Police from the West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit AKP Prayitno said there were no victims and no vehicles were damaged as a result of this incident. It is said that the 10 meter fallen tree only hit the road markings. “Thank God, when the incident happened at 16:00, thank God there were no victims, either of people or vehicles,” Prayitno said on Friday (12/12/2025) at the site of the fallen tree. “Luckily (the tree) went straight (collapsed) onto the road. Yes, it’s true that there were road signs that were suddenly blocked, yes, that’s all,” he continued. It is known that the fallen tree occurred from this afternoon until access on Jalan Kunir was closed. This incident also affected a number of TransJakarta routes, one of which was Corridor 12 Pluit-Tanjung Priok which experienced route diversions. “Meanwhile, the direction from Tanjung Priok does not serve the Pakin bus stop to Hal Mangga Dua,” the X Transjakarta account wrote. TransJakarta Corridor 1 Block M-Kalibesar also experienced route adjustments due to fallen trees in Pinangsia. Fleet routes are currently experiencing shortened journeys. “Corridor 1: Block M-Kali Besar experienced a route change to Block M-Glodok due to fallen trees around Jl Kunir,” the X Transjakarta account wrote.
