Therefore, Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA) has now started preparations to set up e-way hubs along the remaining expressways. For this, the surveying work of the highway in question is almost complete. UPDA will provide plots to investors to set up eBay hubs. In the first phase, it has been decided to set up e-way hubs under the public-private partnership (PPP) model at 12 locations on Bundelkhand and Purvanchal Expressway to Agra-Lucknow Expressway. In the second phase, similar e-way hubs will be installed on all highways. After the completion of the survey work, the high level committee will decide how many Eway Hubs should be established on which expressway. Similarly, proposals were sought from companies to open charging centers for electric vehicles. Currently, 26 EV charging centers have been set up on various highways. UPEDA is trying to establish more EV charging centers at a distance of 40 to 50 kilometers on PPP model.
