The DIG spoke to the policemen posted at the poster and took input from them. He said that animal smugglers try to escape by changing routes in the dark of night, therefore every suspect vehicle should be stopped and checked. If any vehicle attempts to pass without stopping, it must be immediately notified to the police post ahead, so that it can be stopped at another barrier. During the inspection, the DIG also found that the checking of vehicles is not being done properly at some places. On this he instructed the local police to improve the system. He ordered that policemen should be deployed at the barricade in two shifts at night so that there is no laxity in security at any time. He said that the safety of the general public at night is the primary responsibility of the police, therefore every officer and employee must increase vigilance.
