According to sources connected to the airport, during cargo scanning, a suspicious electronic device that looks like a battery was seen among the bundles of notes in a package. When the size and structure of this object on the screen became suspicious, an alert was immediately issued and security agencies were notified. Scanning of parcels was in progress as part of the regular procedure in the cargo terminal. Meanwhile, in the image of a parcel, a battery-like object was clearly visible among the bundles of notes, after which the CISF team immediately separated the parcel. The suspicious electronic device was safely seized by CISF and the area was temporarily sealed to prevent any dangerous situation. Explosives were not found, but the matter of relief in the preliminary investigation was that no explosives were found in that electronic device. Nevertheless, considering the purpose, structure and possibility of use of the device, further investigation was initiated by placing it in high risk category. Officials say that the package’s packaging and the nature of the device hidden among the notes make it highly suspicious. ATS and police team on the spot, intensive investigation going on. As soon as the information was received, the airport police and ATS team also reached the spot. Both the agencies will jointly conduct technical investigation of this electronic device.
