Firefighters are also seen to perform their duties with high integrity and selfless dedication so that the public trust in them increases. “Damkar is also known for working selflessly, they don’t ask for money, that’s what. Well, that makes people like it,” he said. As the supervisor of the Damkar and Public Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Tito emphasized the importance of maintaining the quality of service on an ongoing basis. He also asked the regional government (Pemda) to ensure the availability of adequate staff, increase capacity through vigilance training and strengthen support for the Damkar organization so that it remains capable of providing prompt and professional services. According to Tito, the good reputation of the Damkar also reflects the quality of the Regional Government’s performance. Therefore, he asked regional heads to pay serious attention to the development of the capacity of the Damkar, both in terms of the number of personnel and quality. “For this reason, I ask my fellow regional chiefs, Fire Brigade Leaders to pay attention to the ranks of the Fire Fighters, both their personnel and their quantity and quality.
