Quoting from the official Instagram account of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (@kemendikdasmen), you can arrange for a replacement for a damaged or lost diploma by referring to Permendikbudristek Number 58 of 2024. This is how to take care of a lost or damaged diploma due to a natural disaster. According to Permendikbudristek Number 58 of 2024, educational units can reissue: Page TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Replacement diplomas: For diplomas issued in FY 2024/2025 and beyond. Diploma Replacement Certificate: For diplomas issued before FY 2024/2025 and is valid as an original diploma. – Procedure for issuing a replacement diploma To take care of a diploma lost due to a disaster, go to the school that issued the diploma with the following documents. – Photocopy of the diploma (if any) – KTP – 3×4 size photograph – Letter of loss from the police. If the applicant’s data is not found at the school, the school will forward the process to the local education office. If the school is affected by a disaster and is not working, you can go to the local education office. – Issuance of Certificate of Replacement Diploma. For the issuance of a Certificate of Replacement Diploma, you can go through the education unit by bringing: – A Diploma that is damaged and cannot be partially or fully read – A Certificate of Loss from the local police if the diploma is lost – Birth Certificate – KTP or family card – Declaration of absolute responsibility on stamped paper. Application for the issuance of a certificate of replacement for the diploma is addressed to the head of the education unit. If the education unit is no longer operational, its authority is transferred to the head of the education service. Important information: This replacement document is legally valid and valid for all purposes. From the 2024/2025 academic year, electronic diplomas are available to reduce the risk of loss.
