Jagran Correspondent, Dehradun: Passing-out parade (POP) will be organized at the Indian Military Academy today. The reviewing officer will be Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and he will inspect the parade. He will also salute the passing out officer cadets. Remove Advertisement Only Read News Let us tell you that General Upendra Dwivedi graduated from the Indian Military Academy in December 1984. Now after 41 years he returns to the same field as a reviewing officer. The cadets will pass out. The parade will start this morning at the drill square in front of the Chetwood building of the Indian Military Academy. With the swearing-in and swearing-in ceremony to follow, a total of 525 officer cadets will join the army. 491 young military officers will join the Indian Army, while 34 cadets will be part of the armies of 14 friendly countries. Established in 1932, the Indian Military Academy was established on 1 October 1932. In the first batch, 40 cadets passed out from the Indian Military Academy. In nine decades, the Academy has increased its training capacity manifold. Traffic will remain diverted and Army personnel are deployed in and around the Military Academy premises. The police will take care of the security from outside. During the parade, there will be a zero zone from Panditwadi to Premnagar from 6 am to 12.30 pm.
