A high-level delegation led by Shashank Chaudhary, Additional CEO, Invest UP, held meetings with Renesas Electronics, Marubeni Corporation, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shimizu Corporation and Yamanashi Prefectural Government in Japan. Remove Ads Read News Only Advanced green hydrogen technologies were discussed during a meeting with Yamanashi Prefecture government officials. In particular, the Yamanashi Model P-2-G system was presented. Both sides discussed a pilot project for green hydrogen in Uttar Pradesh, in which it was also agreed to tap the expertise of IIT Kanpur and IIT BHU. Jhansi was considered a suitable location for the project. The proposal also included a plan to set up a Green Hydrogen Center of Excellence. Possible investments in important sectors were discussed in Tokyo. In a meeting held in Tokyo with officials of Renesas Electronics, possible investments and cooperation in the field of semiconductor, embedded systems and advanced electronics were discussed. Renesas has shown interest in setting up a capability center in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Opportunities in the fields of agro-processing, renewable energy, green hydrogen, industrial clusters, electric mobility and smart infrastructure were discussed with Marubeni Corporation. Discussions were held with Suzuki Motor Corporation officials regarding future-oriented manufacturing and opportunities for collaboration in the EV sector.
