Jumbo Cobra nests in Klaten resident’s house, 20 eggs found
Jakarta – A Javanese cobra or naja sputatrix was found in a resident’s house in Klaten, Central Java (Central Java). The mother snake was found laying nest and eggs. “The chronology is that several days ago the reporter, Mas Hardino, was suspicious of seeing a snake skin. This afternoon, the reporter was feeding a goat when he heard the snake hissing,” explained Exalos Indonesia volunteer for the Klaten region, Mardiyono Jangkung, as reported by detikJateng, Wednesday evening (10/12/2025). After that, the reporter called himself and two staff members left immediately. “I went with Mas Aris, a member of Exalos as well. When we arrived at the place, the 2×2 meter floor had been demolished,” said Mardiyono. After dismantling the floor, Mardiyono said, a large Javanese cobra was found, about 1.3 meters long. 20 snake eggs were also found. “Thank God, one jumbo Javanese cobra with a length of about 1.3 meters was found. 20 cobra eggs were also found,” said Mardiyono.
