Jakarta – Ten neighborhood units (RT) and 1 road in South Jakarta were hit by floods this afternoon due to heavy rainfall. The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that the water level reached 60 cm. “BPBD noticed that currently 10 RTs and 1 road section are flooded,” Mohammad Yohan, head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Data and Data Center, said in his statement, Friday (12/12/2025). Yohan explained that the flood was caused by high rainfall and the overflowing of the Krukut and Mampang rivers. The flood at 18:00 WIB occurred in the South Jakarta area, especially in Pela Mampang and West Cilandak sub-districts. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT So far, BPBD DKI Jakarta has deployed personnel to monitor flooding conditions in each area and coordinate elements of the SDA service, Bina Marga service and Gulkarmat service to soak up the puddles and ensure that the water lines are functioning well together with the local town heads and sub-district heads. The flooding is set to recede quickly. “BPBD DKI appeals to the public to remain cautious and be aware of possible flooding. In an emergency, call telephone number 112 immediately.
