Alappuzha (Kerala), December 1 (IANS). A news that tears apart human relations has emerged from Alappuzha district in Kerala. A boy allegedly killed his father and seriously injured his mother in Pullukulangara village here. There is panic in the entire area after the incident. According to the information, the accused Navjeet (30), an advocate practicing in the Mavelikkara court, attacked his parents, 63-year-old Natarajan and 49-year-old Sindhu, with a knife at their home on Sunday evening. When the people nearby heard the screams and noise, they ran to the neighboring house. People saw Natarajan and Sindhu lying soaked in blood at the spot, while Navjeet was sitting nearby with a knife. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused. The police took both the seriously injured to the hospital, but by then Natarajan had died, while Sindhu was undergoing treatment. Police say both of them suffered serious injuries. Natarajan had deep knife marks on his body, while Sindhu’s fingers were cut and she was badly injured. Sources indicate that the family was financially well off. Neighbors say a dispute over money and the consumption of alcohol and drugs by the accused on the day of the attack may have led to this violent incident. The incident happened when Navjeet’s wife Navya was preparing to be admitted to the hospital for delivery. Navjeet has two siblings, both of whom are Ayurveda doctors, and was not present at the time of the attack. Officials are investigating the cause of this incident.
