This university, which is being established for the first time after the formation of the state, will function under the temporary arrangement at the Panchayati Raj Institute in Brambe, Ranchi. Of these, there are 45 small and large buildings that will be renovated and the university will operate under temporary arrangements. Health Minister Irfan Ansari and Additional Chief Secretary of the department Ajay Kumar Singh visited this complex on Thursday. Both agreed to operate the university here temporarily. After the site visit, the minister said that the chief minister will soon inaugurate the university here. Land is marked for a permanent building. During the on-site inspection, the Additional Chief Secretary told the Minister that the land at Rinpass of Kanke is suitable for a permanent building. The minister said that this university should have been established with the formation of the state, but it could not be established yet. Central University temporarily operated here. Earlier, the Central University was functioning temporarily in the Panchayati Raj Institute of Brambe. Later his permanent building was built in Manatu. Since a university was in progress in the past, it is considered suitable for a medical university. During the on-site inspection, the minister asked the local people if there would be any disturbance due to the establishment of a medical university here? On this, the local people requested to run a university here and said that it does not look good that it is currently abandoned. There was no disturbance here during the functioning of the Central University. The governor himself approved the bill on April 11. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar himself approved the Jharkhand Health Sciences University Act, 2023 on April 11 this year. It has also been notified as a law. The Chief Minister will be the Chancellor of the University. The Chief Minister of the State shall be the Chancellor of this University. As Chancellor, the Chief Minister will appoint the Vice-Chancellor of the University from the panel provided by the Search Committee. However, the vice chancellor will be appointed by the state government for the first time. 500 medical related institutions will be affiliated to it. Jharkhand Health Sciences University will have jurisdiction over the entire Jharkhand. All medical colleges, institutions offering courses in AYUSH, Pharmacy, Para Medical, Nursing etc. offer will get affiliation from this university. According to the Additional Chief Secretary, there are around 500 such institutions. The vice chancellor will be appointed soon. The Vice-Chancellor will soon be appointed for this university and all the necessary processes can be completed for the operation of the university. Only a person who is an educationist with experience in the field of medical and health science education or a reputed doctor or has experience in human resource development with an academic background in health medical sciences will be appointed to the post of Vice-Chancellor. The appointment of the Vice-Chancellor will be for three years. These will be the objectives of the University. The objectives of the University include creating centers and institutions of excellence in health sciences, promoting teaching and research in various branches of health sciences, establishing uniformity in the standards of education in areas such as modern medicine, speech therapy, Ayurveda and health economics, etc.
