Rini emphasized that ASNs in the affected areas are given exceptions to the provisions on attendance and performance adjustments, according to conditions in the field. Agency leaders are asked to prioritize employee safety, conduct rapid data collection on affected ASNs and prepare flexible work arrangements. At the same time, ASN in areas around the disaster area and from related ministries/institutions are encouraged to be mobilized to support emergency management and recovery in accordance with the coordination of the regional government and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). “We need mutual cooperation, and officials in the surrounding areas and related ministries/institutions can help to strengthen the capacity of affected areas,” explained Rini. Minister Rini also asked civil service units in all regions, especially those prone to disasters, to prepare and activate emergency service SOPs, including service continuity plans, so that basic services continue for people in need. This includes special treatment later when the disaster begins to be resolved, such as easy replacement of lost, damaged population administration documents or priority services for residents who need access to health, logistics and social assistance due to the impact of the disaster. Rini also emphasized the importance of ASN ensuring that the information transmitted is accurate and does not cause unrest, and does not spread news that has not been verified. “We express our highest appreciation to ASN, health workers, civil service officers, BPBD, and all regional officials who are currently working day and night in the field and continue to work. They are the pioneers who ensure that the community continues to receive services and assistance. We advise them to remain cautious and work with heart,” said Rini. Earlier, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the state was fully present and that all government elements were moving to save lives and speed up recovery in affected areas. (prf/ega)
