In the campaign that the contractor started from November 25, a thousand monkeys have been caught and sent to the forests till now. In the town of Thakur Banke Bihari, not only the locals but also the dedicated tourists coming from outside are bothered by the monkey menace for a long time. People cannot go out on the road wearing glasses. In such a situation, when the monkey suddenly takes away the glasses from the eyes of the devotees who come from outside, the devotee feels cheated. The Municipal Corporation has given the contract for the responsibility of catching and releasing monkeys in the forest in Vrindavan to contractor Rashid of Rashik Monkey Catcher. Even on Friday, hundreds of monkeys were caught by the team and taken to the forest. Rashid said that since November 25, a thousand monkeys have been caught and sent to safe forests. The campaign will continue continuously for one year.
