All four have been identified as Uday Kumar alias Harish, Rohit Kumar, Kunal Kumar and Abhishek Kumar. All are residents of Isuapur and Mashrak of Saran district. Uday is the mastermind of this gang, who was previously jailed in Madhya Pradesh for storing liquor. During interrogation, it was revealed that mastermind Uday had kept Rohit, Kunal and Abhishek together for liquor smuggling. In return, he gave them commission. This gang has been active for the last one year. Uday has links with smugglers active in Madhya Pradesh. The gang brought liquor from Madhya Pradesh to Danapur by train. Then from there it was sent to both the places in Jakkanpur via an auto e-rickshaw. Making a chain, they smuggled from Patna as well as Hajipur to Saran.
