Jakarta – A marriage card functions as a supplementary document for marital status for Indonesian people. This document can be taken anywhere and is integrated into the Marriage Management Information System (SIMKAH). Based on official information of Bimas Islam, here is the latest way to make a digital marriage card. 1. Via SIMKAH Account Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT For couples who already have a SIMKAH account, follow these steps. Log in to your SIMKAH account at https://simkah4.kemenag.go.id Select the “Digital Marriage Card” menu. Then download the digital marriage card directly from the account. 2. For those who do not have a SIMKAH account, bring the original marriage book to the KUA where the marriage contract was held. The KUA officer will verify the marriage data. Once the data is verified, a digital marriage card will be sent to the applicant via email and WhatsApp by the KUA where the marriage is registered. Features of a Marriage Card: The form looks like an e-KTP embedded with a photo of the bride and groom and a barcode to make it easier to store important data and process documents related to the wedding in the future. Marriage cards are made of material similar to e-KTP. So it is stronger, not easily damaged and easy to carry everywhere. Content of the marriage card: – Photo of yourself and your partner – QR code which, if scanned, will display full information about marital status, full name of yourself and your partner and wedding date. Marriage card to facilitate administration and banking or other civil registration purposes that require proof of official marital status with your partner. How to change data in a marriage book or marriage certificate. Changes to the relevant data are different from writing errors. Changes to the name of the husband, wife or parents on the marriage certificate or marriage book are made by the KUA based on a court decision and proven by attaching a birth certificate. Changing the name of a deceased husband, wife or parent is based on a court order. Changes to individual data in the form of place, date, month, year of birth, citizenship, occupation and address are carried out by the KUA on the basis of a quote from the civil registration act of the population and civil registration service.
