When MLA Saurabh Srivastava arrived, after consoling the victim’s family, they sat on the road to meet their demands. After getting compensation of Rs 15 lakh in the afternoon, the victim’s family took the body to Jaunpur for the last rites. There was a huge traffic jam on the road for hours due to the traffic jam. ACP Bhelupur Gaurav Kumar remained on the spot. Irshad lives in a rented house with his family. Irshad, a resident of Maharajganj under Badlapur police station of Jaunpur district, has been living with his wife Gudiya, two sons and two daughters in a rented house in Sunderpur for years. The family’s household runs with Irshad who in his spare time drives a passenger car and runs a tea stall in front of the Cancer Institute. At 11 am on Wednesday, Irshad along with his son Ishtiaq went to the vegetable market in Sunderpur on a bicycle to buy vegetables. There in the vegetable market, he parked the bicycle by the roadside and started buying vegetables, letting his son Ishtiaq sit on it. When the bicycle collided with the crane coming from Bareka’s side, the child fell and was crushed by the wheel. Irshad ran screaming and took the child to the nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. When the driver tried to run away with the crane, angry people vandalized the crane and then blocked the road. Inspector in command Bhelupur Sudhir Tripathi arrived and while he assured action against the crane driver, when he wanted to send the body for postmortem, people got angry. Angry people persisted in arresting the crane driver and calling his owner. Due to the efforts of the MLA, compensation was received and the jam ended in the afternoon. The crane was described as Chhatra Shakti Construction. School children and sick people were stuck in the traffic jam for hours. Due to the pressure on the road, a long queue of vehicles formed on the Sundarpur-Naria road. School vehicles also ran into the jam, which disturbed children. Even the ambulance could not find its way and the sick suffered in it. However, when the jam continued, TI Krishna Pratap Yadav diverted the vehicles plying from Naria to Sundarpur to Karaudi. Through which, albeit slowly, the traffic continues to slide.
