Jakarta – Residents’ houses in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta are locked from the inside. The homeowner panicked because his elderly parents were inside. The homeowner eventually called the fire department (dam truck) to help open the door. The incident occurred on Sunday (14/12/2025) at 19:20 WIB. “When the reporter and his family came home and wanted to enter the house, the door was locked from the inside. Then the pioneer and his family immediately panicked because inside there was the reporter’s elderly father,” said head of North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue Department (Gulkarmat). After receiving the report, 4 firefighters were dispatched to the spot. The elderly person in the house is 65 years old. “There are 4 members of staff,” he said. Firefighters cut open the window with a crowbar. Firefighters managed to open the door within 10 minutes. The evacuation process was completed at 19.40 WIB. “The final time for evacuation is 19.40 WIB. The Fire and Rescue team was able to handle it in a safe and controlled condition,” he added. (deck/lir)
