Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya has revealed that it has tested the authenticity of the diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Testing is carried out in a laboratory and scientifically so that it can be scientifically accountable. “In terms of submitting evidentiary documents and evidence, investigators prioritize proportionality that can be academically and scientifically accounted for,” Director of Crime and Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Komnes Iman Imanuddin, told journalists during a press conference at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Thursday (18/12/2025). Iman said there were three main indicators that were upheld in the laboratory test of Jokowi’s diploma. That is, the equipment used has been certified, accredited and calibrated by certification bodies, accreditation bodies and legal calibration bodies. Iman said that Jokowi’s diploma was also tested by comparing it with comparable documents published in the same year and the institutions that issued the same. “Investigators also took expert information about the expertise and competence possessed by the experts, which is confirmed by certification of the expertise and academic competence of the experts themselves,” he added. Previously, investigators from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya conducted a special case regarding the alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Joko Widodo).
