Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto was recorded reprimanding Paspampres as residents enthusiastically welcomed his visit to the Aceh Tamiang refugee post. Prabowo asked Paspampres not to encourage refugees who want to take pictures. This moment occurred when Prabowo went to one of the health posts on Friday (12/12/2025) and took time to visit a man lying in bed at the health post. Prabowo greeted the residents and interacted. While at the spot, Prabowo looked to the left from where he was standing. He saw a number of residents bumping into each other because they wanted to capture the moment and get closer to take pictures together. Scroll TO CONTINUE “Don’t push him, he wants to take a picture, you know,” Prabowo told Paspampres. These words made the atmosphere at the post more fluid. Residents slowly rearranged their lines, so that the photo moment could take place comfortably. After the health post, Prabowo then visited the evacuation post to directly see the condition of residents affected by the disaster and ensure that the distribution of aid is going well. Prabowo also took the time to greet and chat with residents, as well as provide encouragement amid the post-disaster recovery process. After completing his visit to Aceh Tamiang, Prabowo continued his agenda to visit the Al Abrar Grand Mosque refugee post, Takengon, as well as the Wih Pesam 2 Middle School refugee post, Bener Meriah.
