A serious case of molestation of a pregnant woman from Gulriha area who came for ultrasound at the District Women’s Hospital has come to light. The victim claims that Abhimanyu Gupta, the lab technician and ultrasound operator in the ultrasound room, acted inappropriately during the examination. The woman came out scared and narrated the whole incident to her family. Kotwali police are looking for the accused. When she went for an ultrasound at the doctor’s suggestion, finding herself alone, the lab technician started teasing her. When the victim agreed, he complained to the hospital authorities, but the hospital administration did not act or inform the police. Kotwali police station registered an FIR against the accused Abhimanyu Gupta under relevant sections including molestation and touching with wrongful intentions. Strict action will be taken if found guilty.
