Depok – Traffic (traffic) in Citayam, Depok, is congested due to public transport (angkot) stopping there. Residents asked the Depok City Government (Pemkot) to fix the public transport. Detikcom monitoring at the location, Monday (1/12/2025) afternoon, saw a queue of public transport in front of Citayam station. There seemed to be a lot of public transport waiting at the place, causing the traffic to get stuck. The driver heard the sound of the horn asking the public transport to proceed. They regulate passing motorists so that they do not pass each other. However, the narrow and rocky road makes drivers slow down their vehicles. There was also a lot of public transport that met after crossing the train crossing. This causes traffic jams to increase. One of the residents, Ajeng (35), said there was a lot of public transport meeting around Citayam station. He said this was the cause of traffic jams around the place. “If the station has public transport, the motorcycle taxi driver will park. Moreover, those who meet on the way to the train door will cause traffic jams. Moreover, the traffic jam is guaranteed to be long after it has rained,” Ajeng told detikcom, Monday (1/12). He asked for the widening of the road around the place. He also hopes that this public transport can be introduced to clear up traffic jams. “The widening of the road is also regulated. Public transport that likes to pick up randomly, and motorbike taxi drivers that like to park in front of the station entrance,” he said. Another resident, Adil (30), asked that the public transport be put in order. According to him, angkot vehicles that stop and create traffic jams are also dangerous for motorists crossing the intersection. “Yes, we want it to be regulated. It causes traffic jams. There is also a danger if it gets stuck on the tracks from Citayam there,” said Adil. Adil also requested that the public transport be arranged and provided with a place to meet it. He also called for damaged public transport to be repaired. “Give us a place to meet, arrange it so that it does not disturb those of us who want to pass by. Then the public transport is also repaired. Sometimes it does not have a registration number or the body is just as bad,” he concluded.
