He also emphasized that achievements like Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya L-1 will inspire the youth. He said that today’s India is an India of youth power in which 25 percent of the population is youth and this situation will remain the same for the next 25 years and it is a beneficial situation for us. Somnath said that the developed India of 2047 will emerge as a superpower in which space technology and manufacturing sector will make a major contribution. “India will be a superpower in 2047 and will be a major provider of space technology and manufacturing to the world,” Somnath said while inaugurating the 71st session of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Friday. The former ISRO chief said that science and spirituality can co-exist just as faith and reality complement each other. In this regard, he said that our sages have made discoveries in the fields of mathematics, astronomy, metallurgy, architecture and medicine and our spiritual subject contains the insights of modern science. Somnath said that everyone knows that India is moving forward, thereby creating a new confidence among the people. He said that it is happening for the first time that India is being seen in a different perspective in the world and this has become possible because we are the pillars of democratic stability. He said that today’s India is an India of youth power in which 25 percent of the population is youth and this situation will remain the same for the next 25 years and it is a beneficial situation for us. He praised the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that now the government will also allow private entrepreneurs in the nuclear power sector, which will create a new opportunity for the youth. He said that now the youth will also get a chance to participate in green technology. The former ISRO chief said that through Chandrayaan-3, India became the first country in the world to reach the southern part of the Moon.
