World famous footballer Lionel Messi visited four cities in India during his GOAT tour, after which he also visited Vantara in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Vantara is a wildlife rescue, care and rehabilitation center started by Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation. There, Messi played football with an elephant and enjoyed seeing the lions up close. He liked the place so much that he said he would definitely come again. Lionel Messi first reached Kolkata, where he was welcomed by a huge crowd of fans. After this he traveled to Hyderabad, Mumbai and then Delhi. A large number of fans came to see him in all these cities. After this he went to Vantara, away from the crowd. There he experienced and enjoyed the Indian culture. Messi loved Vantara At Vantara, Messi was introduced to Indian spiritual practices. He visited a temple, offered milk to the Shivalinga and performed the puja according to Indian tradition. Maneklal was recently brought from Tripura to Vantara Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Gujarat for special treatment and care. This elephant is also known for its love of football.
