The Election Commission launched a special revision campaign to make the electoral roll error-free, in which the current voters had to establish the link with the electoral roll of the year 2003. For this, the time limit was also fixed until December 11, but later this time limit was changed to December 11, after which this date was extended again. However, it was not easy to do this work in time, because after the forms were distributed, the CAAs had to take them back and put them online as well. According to the SDM, the names of 398587 voters are registered in the current voter’s list, but during the SIR process, 8684 were found dead which increased the number of voter’s list for a long time. Apart from this, 22,808 voters started living outside the Legislative Assembly area while 2934 voters were found to be voters in different booths of the same Legislative Assembly. As a result, around 50,000 voters have reduced in the assembly constituency. While assuring the people who are deprived of completing the SIR process that they should not worry, the SDM said that they will be given notice and proof will be sought to prove that they are residents of this country. Apart from this, voters whose names are not on the current list will also be given a chance to become voters again and a campaign for this will be launched soon.
