Bogor – The action of the traffic police (polantas) who lifted the motorcycle tire of an annoying motorist and forced them to go against the grain has gone viral on social media (medsos). The incident occurred on a one-way road behind Cibinong Market, Bogor, West Java (West Java). The police figure in the viral video is Bripka Nanda Rizwan, a member of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit Patrol. The man, who was born in Bogor, said the moment happened on Monday (24/11) morning while he was on routine patrol. “So we have instructions from the leadership, from the Chief of Police, from the Head of the Traffic Unit, we carry out routine patrols with the aim of reducing visible violations such as going in the opposite direction, not wearing a helmet. So this is also to reduce the number of accidents in the Bogor Regency area,” said Bripka Nanda, on Tuesday when asked by det detective/detective. Several motorcycles turned around after being signaled to use their hands, but one motorcycle seemed stubborn and insisted on going the opposite direction. “Other (motorcyclists) stopped, pulled over, there were all kinds of motorcycles going around. Well, this red motorcycle started speeding up, so I automatically got off. So before he walked past my motorcycle, I immediately got off. I thought he would stop, but apparently he didn’t,” said this 2006 NCO education graduate. Special) “He actually accelerated, that’s why I held it in front of him, with my hands. I asked him to turn the motorcycle, but instead the person laughed. That’s why I lifted the front tire, reflexively I lifted it (the front right side direction), he continued to turn the motorcycle,” he continued. Nanda admitted that he paid attention to offenders going in the opposite direction on the highway. This type of violation, Nanda said, is the most complained about by the public because it puts themselves and other people at risk and can cause accidents. “Because going in the opposite direction is now also a bit disturbing for the community. For example, if other people don’t wear helmets or what’s called riding three or something, they (the community) don’t really care, only if they go in the opposite direction, the community is a bit worried because it can also put other people at risk,” said Nanda. “That’s why we are now also, especially me, worried about those who go in the opposite direction. At least with my videos, people at least reduce those who wanted to go in the opposite direction before,” he added. The action of a traffic police officer who lifted the motorcycle tire of a motorcyclist who was shouting defiantly went viral on social media. The incident happened on a one-way route behind Cibinong Market, Bogor. (Special doc.) Nanda said that many traffic violators were caught on video wanting to abandon their intentions because they saw the officers. Nanda hopes that people will be orderly in traffic, not because they are afraid of getting tickets, but rather to avoid accidents for themselves and others. “Our wish, especially mine, is that, if possible, people should not be afraid of being ticketed, but afraid of accidents. Because if they are afraid of being ticketed or afraid of the police, where there are no police, they will commit violations,” said Nanda. “But if this community thought, if I go in the opposite direction, I will suddenly have an accident, I will be hit, I will be disabled, I will die, it is better not to go in the opposite direction. A little further is okay, but it is safer, that is the principle,” he added. As previously reported, the motorcyclist’s reckless actions went viral because he forced himself to go against the road even though there were police officers on patrol. The motorcycle without a helmet was forced out by lifting the front tire of the motorcycle in the right direction. The incident happened on Monday (24/12) behind Cibinong Market, Bogor.
