Lucknow, December 2 (IANS). Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput on Tuesday objected to the statement given by National Conference MP Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan on vote theft. He also sought a response from the government on the guidelines for pre-installing Sanchar Sathi app on all mobile phones. Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput while talking to IANS said that all the leaders of the National Conference whether Omar Abdullah or Farooq Abdullah are raising the issue of vote theft. Everyone says the Constitution is in danger because of vote theft, which is not appropriate at all. People from some political parties are raising the issue of vote theft to change the current political situation in their favour. They are trying to spread this matter. They think that they will get political benefits by doing this, but I want to make one thing clear that this is their misunderstanding, so it will be better for them to remove this misunderstanding from their minds. On the ongoing controversy over Sanchar Sathi, Surendra Rajput said that the government will have to come forward and explain its entire process. The government should explain how it works? Regarding ‘Sanchar Sathi’, I have a simple question to the government whether it wants to collect people’s personal information through it. It wants to hack people’s mobile phones so that it can be known who is doing what, but it is a shame that the government avoids answering any questions in this regard, which cannot currently be accepted under any circumstances. Because we are a responsible opposition, we will not allow this at all. In fact, the Department of Telecom of the Government of India has told mobile manufacturers that Sanchar Sathi mobile app should be pre-installed in all smartphones. This app will help to report cyber fraud etc. Regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, Surendra Rajput said that the opposition party will protest against it at the Makar Gate of the Parliament. I want to make one thing clear that we have no objection to a particularly thorough revision of the electoral roll. We object to the whole process which cannot be accepted at any cost. The common people are forced to carry out a special intensive review of the electoral roll so that information can be collected from them. At the same time, CAAs have been coerced to such an extent that they are now being forced to commit suicide. The entire opposition will protest on all these issues. At the same time, Surendra Rajput completely rejected the various speculations that started after Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was not present at the meeting. He claimed that Shashi Tharoor might have gone somewhere for some important work.
