Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam President Vijay expressed grief over this and demanded that the injured be given good treatment. He wrote on social media that he was deeply saddened by the sad news of the death of more than ten people in a head-on collision between two government buses on Pillaiyarpatti Road. He wrote that I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news of the death of 11 people in the accident near Tirupattur in Sivagangai district. He further wrote that I immediately contacted the District Collector and Minister in charge of the district, Thiru KR. Periakaruppan and told him to reach the place and ensure that the injured receive the best treatment. I offer my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. Along with this, Chief Minister MK. Stalin announced financial aid for the families of those killed in bus collisions. In a statement, Stalin said that I have ordered that Rs 3 lakh should be given to the families of those who lost their lives, and Rs 1 lakh should be given to those who were seriously injured and undergoing treatment in hospitals. Along with this, people who are slightly injured and undergoing treatment should be given Rs 50,000.
