A fight broke out between them over the separation dispute. During the robbery, Rajesh picked up the acid and threw it on Omprakash, causing him severe burns. Gangadhin also splashed. On the complaint of Omprakash’s son Sanjay, the police registered an FIR and arrested Rajesh. Subsequently, on 30 May 1988, the court sentenced him to life in prison for acid attack and seven years in prison for fatal attack. When Rajesh appealed in the Supreme Court, he got bail in 1988, but after that he absconded. Since the evidence was against him, he had little hope of escaping punishment. Therefore, he constantly changed his locations. Lived on rented houses in Gola and Lakhimpur Kheri. When much time passed, he built his own house and started living in Kapurthala, Lakhimpur. After that he left his wife Meera Devi and sons Krishna and Himanshu here and started staying at religious places in different states. He stayed in one place for a maximum of four months. For the last few months he has been living as a Parivrajaka in Gayatri Shakti Peeth in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. When Omprakash and Gangadeen died, the police also almost closed the file. Meanwhile, warrants were still issued against him by the High Court. Last month, on November 24, when a non-bailable warrant was issued, the police became active. It has been revealed that Rajesh is talking to his wife and sons through WhatsApp call. Based on that, after locating the location, SOG commandant Dharmendra Kumar and surveillance team SI Manoj Kumar arrested him. In 2010, Rajesh was also caught gambling in Lakhimpur. SP Rajesh Dwivedi told that Rajesh also made two Aadhar cards on one Aadhar number, one has the address of Lakhimpur and the other has the address of Loni, Ghaziabad. There was no seizure order or award declared against him. He is sent to prison.
