(Special doc) The unity of the Trauma Healing Team at the disaster site made an impression on the hearts of the Palembayan children. The children even shed tears, as if they did not want to be separated from the Riau Regional Police personnel. “Don’t cry, keep up your enthusiasm for learning. We’ll meet later, we’ll do a video call,” Bripda Cantika said as they parted ways with the children. Cantika hugged the Palembayan children tightly. He also did not forget to remind the children to stay strong and cheerful again. “Sister loves Acil, there is no need to cry anymore,” said Cantika as he hugged Acil. During the operation, the Trauma Healing Team brought joy to the Palembayan children with a number of games, such as dragon snakes, group search, snakes and ladders, cradle competitions, and quizzes with prizes, accompanied by the distribution of snacks and milk. Slowly, children forget their grief and become enthusiastic to continue their lives as before. During the 14 days of carrying out this mission, the Riau Police Trauma Healing Team had a special closeness to the children. So close, in fact, that these children often come to the Riau Regional Police Disaster Post to watch films on a 42 inch monitor screen. The presence of the Trauma Healing Team is very beneficial for residents. One of them is Laila Safitri, a resident of Jorong Koto Alam, Nagari Salareh Aia Timur, Palembayan. Before, they felt traumatized, especially when it rained. “Thank you for the recovery and that you have restored the children’s enthusiasm and we can continue our life as usual. Because the trauma has left an impression on us. So when it rains we feel scared,” said Laila as he cried. Laila felt that many benefits were derived from the presence of the Riau Police BKO team in Agam. Laila said her village would feel abandoned after the Riau police personnel left. “We now feel that if you leave, our village will feel empty because we will be left alone,” he added.
