Prabowo performed Friday prayers after reviewing disaster management in Aceh Tamiang Regency in the morning. There, Prabowo inspected health posts and refugee camps, including monitoring the distribution of emergency aid. After Friday prayers, Prabowo continued with his agenda of reviewing refugee posts, trauma healing activities, public kitchens and health posts prepared for disaster-stricken communities in the Central Aceh region and its surroundings. Prabowo had the opportunity to speak and hear the complaints of the refugees. This aspiration was relayed by a resident named Raudah at the Refugee Command Post. He also initially complained that logistics and signals were still difficult. “I represent the people of Central Aceh to thank you for being present in our beloved country Gayo. We really need logistics, Sir, we really need it, there is a lack of clean water, electricity, there is no mobile signal network, there is none,” said Raudah. After that, Raudah hopes for a new residence before Prabowo. He asked the government to immediately build shelters for the affected residents. “Secondly, I hope that you can immediately help the houses of my relatives affected by the disaster. I hope so, sir. I represent my brothers and sisters in Central Aceh, sir. Please do it immediately, sir,” he said. Prabowo confirmed that he will rehabilitate the homes of affected residents. His party has approved a budget, but according to him it takes time. “I said earlier that the government will definitely come down and help, it is of course the ones affected by the disaster, our people also do not have the stick of the prophet Moses. There will be temporary housing and then permanent housing which we have prepared and planned, we have allocated a budget,” he said. Prabowo asked residents to be steadfast and patient. He assured that the government would step in to help affected residents. “But it takes time so we ask for patience. I can’t do everything so fast, we worked as best as possible, I think I ask for patience and patience from everyone, we will definitely help, don’t worry,” he continued. (eva/fca)
