Jagran Correspondent, New Delhi. The wait for the start of Science Park in Lutyens’ Delhi may end soon. The construction of the Science Park has finally been completed. Preparations are underway to introduce it in the coming month. Spread over 3642 square meters, this science park was constructed with an amount of Rs 29 lakh. Earlier there was an NDMC school at this place but due to shortage of students NDMC prepared this park by transferring the children to another school. Along with the science park, a teacher training center will also be started here. NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal said that on November 30, 2022, an agreement was signed with the National Science Center for the construction of this park. He told that through this park, students will be able to understand various dimensions of science through games. This will develop students’ understanding and perspective of scientific facts that are useful in daily life, analytical thinking and creative talent. Science Park is a set of open-air science equipment for playing science. Science Park is an innovative experiment to teach science in an informal way. Chahal said that this park has 16 scientific exhibition models such as Echo Tube, Projective Geometry, Lever Reduce Effort (three types), Camera Obscura, Whispering Garden, Action Reaction, Sympathetic Swing, Musical Tube, Lift Self, Solar Eclipse, Gravity Chair, Bucky Child Climber, Periscope,. Sundial, value of pi and inclined plane were developed. NDMC Vice Chairman said that students of all NDMC schools as well as other schools will be able to visit this park regularly. Where the principles of science will be explained in the science park for experience. He said that our objective behind the establishment of the Science Park is to promote scientific culture and develop scientific temper to nurture talent in science and technology and to conduct research in scientific subjects to transform science into technology. Although the construction of the Science Park should have been completed in 2023 itself, but due to various reasons there was a delay in the completion of the project. However, after completion of the work, the Civil Engineering Department has now handed it over to the Education Department. Since there is a high possibility that school children will come to this park, safety measures are taken in it. Grids etc. are installed in many places as per requirement.
