In fact, such incidents are becoming more common than ever. In a public place like the metro, where many people travel every day, even a small disagreement can turn into a big argument. Experts say that increasing crowds, stress and lack of patience are the main reasons for these incidents. People are in a hurry, get sensitive about seats or space, and can get angry over little things. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has repeatedly appealed to passengers to maintain patience during the journey and to inform the security personnel in case of any altercation. CCTV cameras have been installed in every carriage of the metro and security personnel are deployed. However, such incidents show that passengers still need a little more patience and understanding.
