Thousands of staff guard Nataru in South Tangerang, guarding 107 churches and tourist attractions

South Tangerang – A total of 1,224 joint personnel have been deployed in Operation Lilin 2025 to guard the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) celebrations in South Tangerang. South Tangerang Police are ready to guard a safe and conducive Christmas celebration. This was conveyed by South Tangerang Police Chief AKBP Victor Inkiriwang after holding a Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting (Rakor) for the 2025 Lilin Operation. (dok.istimewa) Victor added, in the South Tangerang area there are 208 security objects, including 107 places of worship (churches), 9 tourist attractions, 7 KAI stations, 1 terminal, 15 shopping malls/centers, as well as 69 places for New Year celebrations. The South Tangerang Police established 8 Security Posts (Pospam) and 1 Service Post (Posyan) and prepared 9 Integrated Security Posts adapted to the number of sub-districts in the jurisdiction of the South Tangerang Police. “Let’s give a quick response together to overcome various problems, especially regarding services to the community that will be celebrating the Christmas and New Year holidays,” he said.
