Tito reports Prabowo: A total of IDR 268 billion has been imported by the regional government to deal with disasters

Jakarta – Interior Minister Tito Karnavian reported to President Prabowo Subianto on instructions for increasing the budget for regional governments affected by the disaster in Sumatra. Tito said that a total of IDR 268 billion has been received by all provincial, district or city governments in Sumatra to deal with the disaster. “Then for the BTT (Unexpected Expenditure) budget that you added, the total is IDR 268 billion. We checked, sir, it came over three consecutive days,” Tito said at a full cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Monday (15/12/2025). Meanwhile, each city or district government receives an additional budget of IDR 4 billion. “So there is IDR 60 billion for three provinces, then IDR 208 billion for 52 districts and cities,” he said. Tito explained that the regional government budget was intended to meet the individual needs of the victims. Meanwhile, mass needs such as basic necessities will continue to be covered by the central government. “Everything came in. And we gave directions that it’s mainly for individual needs, sir. Those from the center really help a lot with basic things, rice, cooking oil, etc.,” Tito said. “But the little things like clothes, soap, shampoo, women’s needs, baby needs, and that’s what we mainly target, sir,” he continued. Tito also appreciated the Minister of State Secretary (People’s Affairs) Prasetyo Hadi who followed Prabowo’s order. According to him, there are no problems related to the budget transaction system. “Thank you to the Minister of State Secretary who immediately moved quickly, sir, straight to the account, sir.
