Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked to give strong recognition to tribal art and culture. Modi is the first Prime Minister of the country who has worked to connect the tribal community with the mainstream. Previous governments kept the community in the dark. Now the government is uplifting the community. Tharu, Boxa, Raji, Bhotia, Jaunsari tribes are strengthened in the state through free health, education and self-employment. Remove Advertisement Read Only News A three-day tribal festival was organized by the State Tribal Research Institute (TRI) Uttarakhand on the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda at Rangers Ground on Saturday. The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He said that he felt proud to come to the tribal festival. Lord Birsa Munda did many excellent works for the society. Everyone should follow his ideals. The budget was increased three times for the big event. The government has increased the budget three times for the grand event of the Tribal Festival. Basic facilities will be provided by selecting 128 villages of the tribal area. Health, education and employment will be prominent in this. Free education in schools and free hostels for life were provided to the students of tribal areas. 16 government ashrams and three ITI colleges were opened. Apart from this, free coaching facility is provided for the candidates of competitive examination. An additional amount of Rs 1 crore is given so that the programs of the tribal community can be managed properly. Annual assistance of Rs 50 thousand is given for marriage of daughters of tribal community and Rs 50 lakh for cultural promotion. The Prime Minister pledged to do excellent work for the tribal community. Present on this occasion were Rajya Sabha Member Naresh Bansal, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Rajpur MLA Khajan Das, Vikasnagar MLA Munna Singh Chauhan, Nanakmatta MLA Gopal Singh Rana, Cantt MLA Savita Kapoor, Bageshwar MLA Parvati Das etc. The audience enthusiastically danced to the songs of the folk singers. The cultural evening of the tribal Mahotsav was in the name of Uttarakhandi folk singers. On this occasion folk singer Narendra Singh Negi started the program by presenting Jai Badri Kedarnath. He enthralled the audience with his performances of Phunli Bolun Ke Burans Bolun, Surta Ki Dauni, Dehradun Wala Hoon, Swargtara Junyali Raat, Maiku Eki Chumki Bas, Himwant Desh Hola, Dandu Kya Phool Phulala. At the same time, Kishan Mahipal forced the audience to dance by presenting Fundaliya, Jiya Kori Kori, Ghughuti, O Jiya. The audience danced enthusiastically after the presentation of songs by Jaunsari singer Ajju Tomar. The team of Bhotia tribe of Neeti valley presented Pauna dance. Artistes from Pithoragarh, Odisha, Nagaland, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh received huge applause by presenting traditional dances. Customers bought Pahari products on a large scale from the stalls set up during the festival. There was a crowd at the stalls of woolen coats, caps and mountain pulses. On the first day of the festival, nearly two lakh rupees worth of business was done.
