Yogi Adityanath government is preparing to bring a new AYUSH policy soon to give global recognition to the AYUSH sector (Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) in Uttar Pradesh. The main objective of this ambitious policy is to make the state a hub of AYUSH research and create a strong investment-friendly framework for the AYUSH industry. Remove Advertisement Read Only News Principal Secretary, AYUSH, Ranjan Kumar said that this policy is being prepared as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, so that Uttar Pradesh can become a leader in the AYUSH sector in the entire country and attract investors to the state. This policy will not only give a new dimension to health services in the state but will also create new employment opportunities. Rain of concessions to attract investors Many attractive incentives have been included in the new AYUSH policy to promote investment. The government intends to accelerate the expansion of the AYUSH industry. Financial incentives: Capital subsidy will be provided to investors. Land related exemption: Special exemption will be given in stamp duty on purchase of land. Special focus on greenfields: There is a plan to provide additional incentives for new greenfield projects. The objective of these concessions is to create a strong framework for testing and quality control of AYUSH medicines and to accelerate the construction of high quality AYUSH hospitals in the state. Focus on Traditional Practices and PPP Model The policy has a special focus on traditional and ancient practices of AYUSH to expand healthcare services: Wellness Centers: Special focus will be given to Panchakarma, Naturopathy and other wellness centers, thereby promoting AYUSH business. PPP Model: Construction of AYUSH hospitals and development of infrastructure will be encouraged on PPP (Public-Private Partnership) mode for expansion of health services. Education and Employment: New courses related to Ayurveda, Yoga and Homeopathy will be started to prepare skilled human resources for AYUSH hospitals, which will provide better employment opportunities to the youth. The Chief Secretary informed that another important objective of the policy is to improve medicinal properties and ensure accessible health facilities for the treatment of patients. Along with this, efforts will be made to promote AYUSH medical systems worldwide by introducing them as AYUSH Wellness Centers. UP will become a leading state in the country and the world. This initiative of CM Yogi is considered as an important step towards overall development as per the intention of the state government. Officials of the AYUSH department believe that with this policy, not only the citizens of the state will get better health services, but Uttar Pradesh will also realize its dream of establishing a strong hold on the business of this industry across the world. This policy will contribute to the development of the state and lay the foundation to establish Uttar Pradesh as a leading state in the country and the world, opening new doors to health and prosperity.
