Uttarakhand: Pakistan claim on Doon land rejected, now this land transferred to government’s name – Pakistan claim rejected Haripur Vyas land, now government property in Doon

Ankur Aggarwal, Jagran Dehradun: The land situated in Haripur Vyas of Kalsi Tehsil area of Doon on which the person from Pakistan/PoK claimed has now been transferred to the name of Govt. Deputy District Magistrate Kalsi Premlal deleted the names of eight persons registered on the land and with that 0.7688 hectares of land was vested with the government. District Magistrate Savin Bansal said the administration’s investigation found the Pakistani national’s claim to be false. The dispute over this land started in the year 2022, when Ghulam Haider, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, bought land in Haripur Kalsi. Ghulam Haider has been posted in the Jammu Police and has also been suspended on charges of helping terrorists. On how Haider bought land in the tribal area of Kalsi, the allegation was that he bought the land through fake documents. The allegation was that he made this purchase with the help of his relative living in Haripur area. He registered his name in the family register and also produced a permanent residence certificate. The dispute over the land arose when a man identifying himself as Abdullah claimed in a video released from Pakistan/PoK that the land belonged to his grandfather Mota Ali. According to him, his grandfather donated this land to the Imambara mosque. In another video, the same person was seen standing with a Maulvi and repeating his demand on the ground. At this time it also came to light that Ghulam Haider had fraudulently sold the land to eight persons and now all parties are coming forward who want to take possession of the land. The administration acted proactively and rejected all the claims made by Pakistani citizens and others regarding the land purchased against tribal rules. The names of Rajab Ali, Mohammad Shafi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Shaukat Ali, Tewar Ali, Asghar Ali, Safdar Ali and Wilkis Bano were removed from the land and the name of the state government was mentioned in the revenue records. The district magistrate said that there is a provision to vest the land bought and sold against the rules in the tribal areas in the state government.
