Jaipur, November 26 (IANS). Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched the Yamuna Pravah Padyatra under the Sardar 150 Unity March Padyatra program in Jaipur on Wednesday. This foot march started from Amar Jawan Jyoti Martyr Memorial, Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said: “Sardar Patel worked to bind the country in the thread of unity. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Patel worked to unite India with his far-reaching personality, such a person will always be remembered.” He said that the support of the local people was for India and Sardar Patel worked hard to integrate them into the country. He carried out Operation Polo in Hyderabad, annexed Hyderabad to India despite the wishes of the Nizam, because the people wanted it. Taking a look at the opposition, the chief minister said that earlier some people did not even remember him, while he had made an important contribution to achieve independence. No one knew these great men at first, but today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they are getting a different identity. People are made aware by organizing programs for this. Describing the Unity March Pad Pad Yatra programme, Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the Yatra will reach Karamsad in Gujarat after passing through the districts of Jaipur, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur and Sirohi. Travelers from 8 states will participate in this trip. Passengers from Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and some districts of Madhya Pradesh will also join this journey departing from Jaipur. In the yatra, two passengers were selected from each district and Yuva Morcha workers were given prominence. He said that a glimpse of the Rajasthani culture will also be seen in these tours. The visits are welcomed with the traditional culture of each district. In Alwar, travelers will be welcomed with Bhrithari Natya, Kanhaiya Dangal will be organized in Sawai Madhopur, cultural programs will be organized on the riverfront in Kota, in Chittorgarh, travelers will be given darshan of Saawariya Seth, and a documentary of Maharana Pratap will be screened at Pratap Gaurav Kendratap. –IANS SAK/DSC Share this story Tags
