Mumbai, September 27 (IANS). Police in Mumbai, who are taking a major action based on secret information, have detained a total of 5 citizens in Bangladesh in India. The Jogeshwari police station did this action. Police have received information that a citizen in Bangladesh will come to the Jogeshwari area in Mumbai. Police acted immediately about this information and laid a trap and caught a suspect in front of the MMRDA colony in Jogeshwari East. When police asked his name and address, he called his name Salim Balai Molla, who is 38 years old. Initial investigation made it clear that he is a Bangladesh citizen and lives illegally in India. After the arrest of Salim, police continued to question him. During interrogation, Salim revealed that four more citizens in Bangladesh live illegally in Mumbai. Based on this information, the Jogeshwari police acted quickly and also arrested the remaining four citizens in Bangladesh in various places. At present, police have kept these five foreign citizens in custody and further legal process has now been started against them. Everyone’s documents are being investigated and the cause of infiltration in India is also being investigated. Mumbai police said the process of depositing all citizens in Bangladesh was also started. According to police, the purpose of such action is to identify and send illegal foreign citizens living in the city.
