Jharkhand CM instructed to deal with the drinking water crisis and control the fire of forests
Ranchi, April 9 (IANS). Hemant Soren, chief minister of Jharkhand, held a marathon meeting with top officials and deputy commissioners from the districts on Wednesday to review the operation of various departments of the state. During this time, he asked the officials to ensure that all the development schemes in the state should be completed within the set time. The main minister aimed at immediately drawing up an alternative action plan and effectively implementing it to handle the situation of drinking water crisis in many areas of the state during the summer season. He said that as soon as the summer begins, there are reports of fire incidents in the forests across the state. Together with the Department of Forest and Environmental Affairs, officials related to general administration must take such incidents seriously. Take the appropriate steps immediately once such information is received. People should also be made aware to prevent fire incidents. The chief minister said that the block office, the office of the zone and the police stations are the face of any government. There should be a better treatment than the people who reach these offices. If any officer employee of these offices is negligent or arbitrary to issue different types of certificates, the deputy commissioners must take strict action against him. While revising the Department of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Cashes, Minorities and Welfare of Back Classes, he ordered officials to pay the bursary amount of pre-matric (class 1 to 10) to the students studying at the scheduled time. He ordered that the payment of all pending bursaries be completed by May 8, 2025. At the district level, the verification of the applicant students must be done within a fixed time limit. During the review of the Department of Women, Child Development and Social Security, it was notified that funds under Prime Minister Janman Yojana were made available in 386 tolls in the districts for the construction of Anganwadi Center. The deputy commissioners of all districts must mark the construction of the Anganwadi center by identifying the land within a fixed time limit. Chief Minister Soren instructed the officials to provide fast land for 945 Anganwadi centers to be erected under ‘Dharti Aba Tribal Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’. A target is to upgrade 16,775 Anganwadi centers within the state as competent Anganwadi centers. In all these Anganwadi centers, make the availability of smart -TVs, RO for drinking water, electricity connection, toilets, etc. He instructed officials to appoint 4,000 Anganwadi staff whose selection process was soon completed in the state. During the revision of the home department, the CM instructed to act strictly by marking the drug providers around the schools, college in the cities. He asked officials to ensure that ongoing inspections in all the prisons of the state should be done, and that illegal activities from the prisons should be assured. -Ians snc/abm
