Christian Mitchell filed a petition demanding, which was rejected by the court. The Maintenance Directorate (ED) opposed the claim of the release of Mitchell and in response to the Rouse Avenue’s Special Court said that Mitchell’s arguments in the case are misleading and unfounded. In the Agustawestland VVIP helicopter case, on August 4, Christian Mitchell James by his lawyer in the Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi said he had already deducted the maximum punishment corrected for crimes related to the extradition of India of the United Arab Emirates. He demanded release on the basis that he served a maximum sentence of 7 years. He claimed to be released under the provisions of Section 436-A of CRPC. In his reply filed in the Special Court in Rowz Avenue, the Maintenance Directorate (ED) said that the arguments of Christian Mitchell James in the case are misleading and unfounded.
