His party CPN-Kumar became the second largest party in the 2022 election, but Oli gained smart power by forming an alliance. First he made Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) a prime minister, but later Prachanda’s party supported the Nepali congress that broke the alliance. Then Oli won the Prime Minister’s chairman for the fourth time on July 15, 2024 with the support of the Nepali Congress. Relations of Nepal India: Oli’s relationship with India and controversy with India has always been tense. In 2015, there was a border block on the new constitution of Nepal, for which Oli India accused him of demolishing his government. His government has released a new card in which Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiadhura, which were rejected by India as one -sided. After this, there were discussions between the two countries, but the tension did not reduce. Oli strengthened the relationship with China, which further cooked with India. Nepal Gen Z Protests: Why Rebellion in Nepal? There is a fire of rebellion in Nepal and all this furious nowadays because of the KP Sharma Oli government. There was a sudden ban on social media platforms, after which the youth of Janmandu and other cities on September 8, 2025 showed a large -scale protests in Kathmandu and other cities that became violent. In this, at least 19 people were injured and police used rubber bullets, water cannon and shallow gas. Eventually, the government had to bend and the ban on social media had to be removed, but the protesters now demand the resignation of Oli. Nepal Gen Z protests: When the ban on social media began on September 4, 2025, when the OLI government banned 26 social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, X, WhatsApp, Instagram. The reason was given that these companies do not follow the rules of registration in Nepal, but that the youth regarded it as an attack on freedom of expression. Gen Z started an online campaign that soon took on the streets. Thousands of youths gathered outside Parliament in Kathmandu and shouted slogans, closed corruption, not social media! And decomposed social media. The youth said that banning social media has provoked us, but that is not the only reason. PM Oli first called it Gen Z -trouble makers and refused to remove the ban, but after the violence withdrew the ban on the cabinet meeting. Apart from the ban on social media, corruption and poor economy are also described as the real problem. Nail has changed since 2008, no one has completed his 5 -year term. The Government of Oli is accused of forgetting the promises to stop corruption. Youth pays taxes, but the money is not seen properly- no work, infrastructure is bad and inflation is skyrocketed.
