This story belongs to the Viganance wing of the Delhi police, for which no one is above the law. This is a case of May 22, 2025, when two Asi Vijay Kumar and the main constable Surderra, placed in Mahadev Chowk in Adhpur Badli Traffic Circle, were caught with a red hands and bribes were taken. The case started a day earlier on May 21. A Delhi businessman reached the office of the Viganance Unit of Delhi. There was anger in his eyes and justice in the heart. Ramesh said that the traffic policemen placed at Mahadev Chowk demand a 30 -thousand bribe from him. In return, we promised that commercial vehicles driving in Ramesh’s environment would be stored from the traffic invoice. The officials of the Viganance unit heard that the officials had come into effect. Ramesh’s complaint was filed and a trap was laid. The next day, as soon as Vijay Kumar Ramesh mentioned near Mahadev Chowk at about 5:30 pm, the team of vigilance hid and watched his actions. Ramesh was placed in a private car in which Vijay and Surderdra were already present. The car moved to a deserted place in Sector-30 from Rohini. Once Ramesh gave Singnal, Vigilance’s team surrounded the car. 30 thousand rupees were recovered from Vijay. Both policemen were arrested. A case was registered under the Corruption Prevention Act, 1988 and the Indian Justice Code, 2023. Both have been sent to police withholding for two days. The visiting unit called on the citizens that if a policeman abused his right, then complain about helpline number 1064 or WhatsApp number 9910641064 without fear. People can also file their complaints in the office of the Vigil’s Unit in Barakambha Road. The unit promised that the identity of the complainant would be kept secret.
