Algeria intends to raise beneficiaries with fixed internet up to 6 million

Algeria aims to increase the number of families linked to the fixed internet by the end of this year to 6 million families, according to Karim Baby Triki, Minister of Post and Wireless Transport, which indicates that the government would increase the number of 3.5 million in 2020 to 5.8 million. Triki revealed that the number of families connected to the Internet with optical fibers increased from 50 thousand families in 2020 to more than 1.5 million families. Algeria today launched the Comprehensive Service Project for Electronic Communications, aimed at covering 1400 areas with low population density with the fourth generation network.
