Bachwara meeting seat: known for political history and ethnic comparisons

New -delhi, October 6 (IANS). Bachwara meeting constituency of Begusarai District Bihar is known for his diverse political history and caste comparisons. The region comes under the 24-Bagusarai Lok Sabha Settle, including seven constituencies of the meeting such as Cheria Bariarpur, Bachwara, Teghra, Matihani, Sahabpur Kamal, Begusarai and Bakhari (SC). As part of the Mithila region, the proximity of the Ganges River culture and economy affects. The local economy is mainly dependent on agriculture, where crops such as paddy, wheat, maize are grown on fertile soil. The headquarters of the Begusarai district is 35 km from the meeting of the meeting, while Samastipur is located at only 12 km. Dalsinghsarai and Mokama are prominent among the nearby cities. After independence, MLAs have been elected since 1952. So far, Congress has won seven times and CPI has won five times in 17 elections. Praja Socialist Party, Joint Socialist Party, Independents, RJD and BJP once had success. No party achieved two consecutive wins in the last six elections, reflecting the changing priorities of voters. In 2020, the BJP Begusarai Mla Surendra Mehta fed here and defeated Awadhesh Rai of CPI with a close margin of 484 votes and won for the first time. The results of the 2020 election were also special because Awadhesh Rai was a MLA three times and of the Yadav community, which owns more than 25 percent of the population in Bachwara. Earlier, the Yadav candidate won in 11 out of 12 elections. Since 2024, Surendra Mehta has been a Minister of Sport in the Bihar government, which comes from the Dhanuk cabinets. This is considered part of the BJP strategy, as the MAAs chosen from here did not get the post of minister. This time, however, the NDA may have to struggle hard to take out the Bachwara seat. This is because Giriraj Singh of BJP won in the 2024 Lok Sabha election of Begusarai, but 4,516 votes behind Abhayesh Kumar Rai of CPI in Bachwara. This is a warning to the BJP. According to the latest data from the Electoral Commission, the total population of the Bachwara meeting is 5,20,770, with the number of men 2,73,918 and the number of women 2,46,852. When we talk about voters, there are a total of 3,13,772 voters in the constituency of the meeting. It has 1,65,662 male and 1,48,102 female voters, while 8 voters are third generation. In the 2025 elections, Bachwada can become a thorn collision. The BJP will need to focus on caste comparisons and developmental works. CPI and other parties can return firmly. Jan Suraj Yatra of Prashant Kishore also held meetings here, where he specifically attacked the Nitish government. Voters expect development, employment and basic facilities. -Ians Sch/DSC
