Teachers will be recruited to fill about 26,000 vacancies in government schools across the state. The education department will offer a request to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) within the next five days. This is delayed due to pending vacancies and grid clearing of teachers in four districts, which will soon be completed. Education Minister Sunil Kumar gave this information to reporters on Monday. Education Secretary Dinesh Kumar and director of Primary Education Sahila were present at the event. He informed that the vacancies of most districts were received for the recruitment of teachers-4 (TRE-4). The remaining vacancies will be obtained in the four districts and timetable clearance will be done. The vacancies of TRE-4 are offered to BPSC within five days. TRE-4 is expected to have about 26,000 vacancies. After TRE-4, TRE-5 is also held. Recently, 2.33 Lakh teachers were recruited by BPSC. Teachers were appointed here based on the number of 1.76 Crore students. He informed that applications for secondary test for the suitability of teachers (STET) will be accepted from September 19, the last date of which is September 27. The STET exam will be held from October 12 to October 31 and the results will be declared on November 16. 17,000 teachers will have to provide details of three districts for transfer. Education Minister Sunil Kumar said that from September 5 to September 13, 41,689 teachers applied for voluntary transfer, which included three districts in each district. Of these, 24,600 teachers were transferred to their favorite districts. The remaining 17,000 teachers could not be transferred due to a lack of vacancies in their favorite districts.
