The Boston Celtics insisted that they were not worried by dropping the first two games of their eastern conference semifinal against the New York Knicks. They held on to the story despite the two setbacks coming home. Even the fact that they swept the four meetings in the regular season, and almost all observers presented New York as the team of 0-2 did not cause much distress. Blow 20 points lead in both games 1 and 2? Of course painful, but not devastating enough to blow the white flag. But their performance has improved strongly in the third game of the match, and now Boston has a chance to even get the series at 2-2 when it plays in New York on Monday night. “You have to beat us four times. That’s what it comes down to,” said Celtics star Jaylen Brown. “Not twice, not once, not three. You have to win four games, so there is a lot of basketball to be played. ‘ The one victory in Boston came in superlative way. The Celtics led by as many as 31 points and regained their 3-point shooting. After being a joint 25 of 100 from behind the bow in defeats, Boston linked to 20 of 40 in the 115-93 route. Jayson Tatum and NBA Sixth Man of the Year Payton Pritchard each made five. Pritchard scored 23 points after being just 11 over the first two games. “Who cares what the outside world says,” Pritchard said, referring to some of the chatter about Boston’s tendency to shoot from the outside. ” We shoot too many 3s. “Everyone says it all, but if you believe in your lap and can hit it, then take it with confidence. ‘Tatum added 22 points in a competition in which five Boston players counted 15 or more. The Knicks face their first adversity of the series after being shown at home. New York never led and was down by 71-46. Knicks star Jalen Brunson scored 27 points, but he wasn’t too excited about his team’s mood. “I don’t think we came up with the mindset to be satisfied, but I think it was just unconsciously pleased with 2-0,” Brunson said. “Just not as we have to approach the game.” New York knows that a loss of Game 4 removes the benefit it received by winning twice in Boston. So, it’s actually a must-win area for the knicks. “You have to earn your victories. You have to win the job,” New York coach Tom Thibodeau said on Sunday. “We knew they were going to come in with Force and we had to make sure we were ready for it. And you know – we have to play a strong 48 minute basketball. ‘ Knicks forward Josh Hart said the remaining even throat is important to his club. “We knew it was going to be a difficult series,” Hart said. “If we win, we are not too high, and if we lose, we are not too low. We always try to stay equal. Make adjustments, but the mentality, the character of the team does not change. ‘ New York’s big man, Karl-Anthony, had 21 points and 15 rebounds in Game 3, but he also injured his left hand. Still, it seems good, as Towns are not listed in the team’s injury report. Boston has the reserve Sam Hauser (sprained rights ankle) as questionable, but is otherwise healthy. Meanwhile, Boston coach Joe Mazzulla is not worried that his team in the series of routes. “There are no expectations,” Mazzulla said. “We’re on our way to try to greatness. There is nothing to determine the test in front of you. ‘ -Media on the field level
