The Saudi Export Development Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, seeks to improve -oil exports by a number of services and initiatives, including the “export exemption” initiative. This service enables industrial facilities to obtain release of customs for inputs associated with products exported over the past twelve months. Abdullah Al Zahim, director of the Al -Hafiz section at the Export Development Authority, said during an interview on the “Al -Sharq” channel that this initiative wants to increase the competitiveness of Saudi goods by reducing the cost of their production to support the export and marketing in foreign markets. He noted that this initiatives would stimulate manufacturing in the country and increase the yields of non -oil exports. He said the government provides incentives and other services, including financial incentives for exporters, and the service to overcome export barriers, in addition to sending missions and holding external exhibits to display Saudi products in the markets of other countries.
