Gujarat shows the way, ‘Skill India Mission’ becomes the pride of the country

Ahmedabad, October 3 (IANS). In order to improve the skills of the youth and prepare them according to the needs of the market, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi, laid the foundation of the ‘Gujarat Skill Development Mission’ in 2009. In terms of this initiative, the Kaushalaya Vardhan Center and Occupational Request Centers in the entire state. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, this mission currently plays an important role in providing job skills to trained unemployed youth. This scheme of the Gujarat government contributes significantly to making millions of youth confidence. After becoming prime minister, Narendra Modi took the initiative to implement this model at national level. On July 15, 2015, on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, he started the Skill India Mission. He described this mission as a strong medium of new energy in the country and a strong medium for youth economic empowerment. Under the Skill India Mission, the central government has launched a campaign to improve the talent of youth by the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKV). Under this scheme, the youth are trained in about 40 areas according to the demand for industry and market. Work and self -employment are also offered. This plant of skills development started in Gujarat today became a big tree in the form of skill in the Indian mission. In the last decade, this mission has empowered more than 6 crore youths across the country. These youths not only become the support of their families today, but also make an important contribution in the realization of the decision of developed India. Skill India Mission not only helped reduce unemployment, but also made youth a global competition. Under this mission, training is offered in industries such as construction, IT, health, hospitality and manufacturing under this mission. After training, youth are linked to jobs, which strengthen their economic condition. This initiative started in Gujarat has opened the doors of new opportunities for the youth, not only the state, but across the country. This mission is a strong step in making India a global skills capital.
